Community Short Film Screening & Artist Q&A - "Sucker"

Join us for at the Saatchi Gallery Learning Studio for a screening of the new experimental short film, "Sucker", by artists Ela Portnoy, Marie Schaller and Soo Hahn. Ela and Soo will be giving a Q&A after the screening as well.

The film explores the body in nature. A creature makes its pilgrimage into the woods, and finds its home among the darkening trees. Using sensual sound and visuals, the film follows the creature’s process through pain, grief and eventually, peace.

Created by an all-trans creative team, the film is an allegory for trans self-discovery, but is open to different interpretations and hopefully relatable for all audiences.
