Tree Care & Celebration for the John Lewis Flowering Forest w/ Delta Sigma PiDuring this project we'll W**d and refresh the mulch around as many of the over 1,000 recently planted trees as we can in 3 hours! Mulch around the trees protects them from damage by lawnmowers and weedeaters by supressing weeds and it improves the overall soil health.
Physical activity such as bending, lifting, and kneeling is required. Tree care can be physically strenuous - be ready to break a sweat and get dirty!
Meeting Location and Parking: Meet in the Field closest to - 540 John Wesley Dobbs Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30312. Look for the Trees Atlanta trucks! Parking is available at Howard Middle School (551 John Wesley Dobbs Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30312) and on-street.
