Community Safety Precinct Committee Meeting

Community Safety Precinct Committees (CSPCs) are vital platforms where local councils, residents, and businesses meet with Police Area Commanders to discuss crime and safety concerns in their area. They provide a chance for the community to actively engage in developing and implementing strategies to address local crime challenges.

CSPCs also help police share accurate, up-to-date crime information and raise awareness of prevention strategies. Sometimes, these committees are involved in broader crime prevention initiatives like Crime Prevention Partnerships (CPP) and local crime prevention planning.

By establishing local working groups under the CSPC, specific crime issues can be addressed with tailored solutions. These working groups report quarterly on their progress, ensuring local problems are met with actionable, effective solutions.
