Join us for our Creative Wellbeing Programme — a series of small-group creative wellbeing sessions in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, made possible through National Lottery Community Fund support.

✨ No experience necessary — everyone is welcome.



THURSDAY 6 AUGUST – Watercolour Nature Studies

Morning Session | 10:00am – 12:00pm
Painting Leaves and Flowers
Led by Sofia Barton
Explore watercolour painting through leaves, flowers, and natural forms, learning simple techniques in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Afternoon Session | 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Detailed Natural Texture Painting
Led by Sofia Barton
Develop your watercolour skills by looking closely at natural textures, details, layering, and delicate mark-making inspired by nature.



THURSDAY 13 AUGUST – Community Craft Session

Morning Session | 10:00am–12:00pm
Relaxed Craft and Conversation
Led by Tallulah Lines

Enjoy a friendly and informal morning of crafting and conversation. Participants can explore simple creative activities while connecting with others in a calm and supportive setting.




TUESDAY 18 AUGUST – Sunderland-Inspired Art

Morning Session | 10:00am–12:00pm
Local Landmark Sketching
Led by Anna-Marie Gallares

Explore Sunderland’s buildings, landmarks and local character through a relaxed guided sketching session. Learn simple drawing techniques while creating artwork inspired by the city.

Afternoon Session | 2:00pm–4:00pm
Expressive Urban Illustration
Led by TBC

Create bold and expressive illustrations inspired by Sunderland’s streets, architecture and urban landscape. Experiment with line, colour and mark-making to develop your own interpretation of the city.




THURSDAY 20 AUGUST – Decorative Art Workshop

Morning Session | 10:00am–12:00pm
Nature-Themed Card Making
Led by Elyse Benjamin

Create a selection of decorative handmade cards inspired by flowers, plants and the natural world. Explore colour, pattern and simple mixed-media techniques in a relaxed workshop suitable for all abilities.

Afternoon Session | 2:00pm–4:00pm
Detailed Decorative Mixed Media
Led by Elyse Benjamin

Develop richly detailed artwork using layered materials, decorative patterns, textures and mixed-media techniques. This session will encourage experimentation and personal creative expression.



THURSDAY 27 AUGUST – Summer Celebration Session

Creative Wellbeing Activities
Led by Tallulah Lines

Celebrate the programme through a relaxed selection of creative wellbeing activities, offering time to make, reflect, connect with others and enjoy the positive benefits of creativity.


Come along, connect with others and enjoy a welcoming creative space for wellbeing, expression and learning.

Spaces are limited to keep sessions small and supportive — book early to avoid disappointment.
