When we perform Tashlich, we cast our sins into the water. For the Reverse Tashlich, we remove “sins” created by humans from the water. As we prepare to enter the new year with pure hearts and good intentions, let’s look at the other “sins” in the water* and fulfill the Mitzvah of Bal Tashchit, the prohibition against needless waste and destruction.
