Grant County Health District (GCHD) will host the fourth annual International Overdose Awareness Day event on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at McCosh Park in Moses Lake. This global day of remembrance brings communities together to honor the lives lost to drug overdose and support those affected by substance misuse.
Overdose remains a growing public health crisis. In Grant County alone, 100 overdose-related deaths were reported between 2021 and 2023. International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) is an opportunity to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and promote prevention and recovery efforts.
