Community Printmaking Exhibition at The Print Room

Over the past 6 weeks we've undertaken a new programme of events under the banner Community Printmaking at our Union Street space, The Print Room.

Armed with rollers, ink, lego and silkscreens, our free classes have welcomed adults and children into a fun and creative space where printmaking has been front and centre each week as our groups explored different techniques whilst also exploring what community looks like, who it supports and what part art can play in bridging the divides.

The response to our free sessions has been overwhelming with people of all ages participating, inking up and making prints. To see Lego used to create colourfull images and people using mono print to explore their own mark making has been brilliant.

To celebrate these new prints we're hosting a special Community Printmaking exhibition for 3 days at The Print Room. We'll have a Thursday evening event from 6 - 8pm to toast our budding printmakers and the exhibition will be open and family friendly from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th November, 12 - 5pm each day.

We'd be delighted if you could join us for the exhibition, bring friends and family, come ask questions and we might just have some printing suprises over the course of the weekend.
