OMEA Professional Development Conference "PREVIEW" Concert!The Lincolnview HS Steel Band has been preparing for their upcoming performance at the 2026 Ohio Music Education Association Professional Development Conference. They will be performing at the Greater Columbus Convention Center on Saturday, January 31st at 12:30pm.
To kick off this prestigious honor, we will be hosting a "Community Preview Concert" for our local community to come and see what these amazing students are doing. They will be performing their ENTIRE OMEA Repertoire for all to see!
Concert Details:
Date: Tuesday, January 27th
Time: 7:30PM
Location: Niswonger Performing Arts Center, Van Wert, Ohio.
Cost: FREE and open to the public.
Come and support this amazing, high caliber ensemble, as they make their way to the State Convention.
In addition, thanks to the Lincolnview Band Boosters, we will be WORLD DEBUTING a commissioned piece by Dr. Chris Tanner, Director of Steel Bands at Miami University. The piece is entitled "BIG TIME" and it is meant to commemorate our program reaching a pinnacle achievement and one of the highest honors an ensemble can achieve.
