Please join us to celebrate Immigrant Allies' 15th Year, our Quinceañera! Come and hang out with your Marshalltown neighbors, in the spirit of welcome & friends-giving, for a traditional-style Iowa potluck. Bring your family and some kind of food to share and celebrate the rich immigrant heritage of our community--whether recent or through generations-- and the potential for all of us to be allies for one another. Plates, silverware, napkins will be provided. There will be water or lemonade available, as well.
Please invite others who share in our mission that our community is stronger when we reach out to bring everyone to the table.
For our anniversary celebration, we will have the honor of a special welcome by storyteller and peace-builder Kiran Singh Sirah, on the theme of "Every Meal Is a Story" and how each of our our stories have value and the power to connect us.
Want to be a madrina or padrino for our quince? Any funds raised by sponsorship will go towards important immigrant needs in the community at this moment (in partnership with our partners CAPS and Iowa MMJ): gas cards for transportation to out-of-town immigration appointments & funds for a local citizenship clinic.
