About this Event
At these community planning sessions we will discuss:
- What types of financial assistance grant programs are you familiar with that have been valuable for student service members, veterans and their family members (SMVF)?
- How can we ensure that these financial assistance grants are most accessible for this population? How do you envision them being administered?
- What considerations should be included in the request for proposal/funding opportunity to ensure that King County is being racially, ethnically, culturally, and regionally inclusive in addressing the needs of SMVF?
- How should we prioritize student veterans and/or their family members who apply for these financial assistance grants?
- What income restrictions and/or priority placements should we consider as eligibility parameters for these financial assistance grants?
- What amount of financial assistance should be available per student?
- Would an initial amount of start-up funding be needed for planning or staffing a program like this? How much?
