Community pit fire/ raku day

Hey folks! It’s that time of year again. This years community pit fire and raku day will be held at our home in Plymouth November 14th at 2:00 pm. We’ll probably start firing around 6:00 pm. This should give everyone time to glaze or decorate for the pit fire. I will be posting a few links over the next couple of days to websites with some insight on how pit firing works so everyone can be prepared. Also feel free to reach out to me directly if you have questions. We will have everything needed for both styles of firing provided. But if you have your own raku glazes or would like to experiment with new materials, feel free to use or bring them with you. We’ll pretty much try anything on this day if it’s deemed safe and won’t risk the work of others. There is no fee to attend, but as this is a community event and nothing brings people together like food, if you’re able to bring a dish to share we would absolutely love that.

One final thing for this first post. Since we’ve been slacking on keeping posts flowing into our groups feed, please make sure this post get passed around to all of those who need to see it. I’ll be posting more about this and other activities in the collective now that the season is slowing down and we’re all stabilizing a bit. I can’t wait to see you all. This is my absolute favorite day of the year and I can’t wait to share it with you all.
