About this Event
Cracking is a critical factor in concrete design, especially shrinkage-induced cracking for bridge decks and both suspended and on-grade slabs. Although standards provide guidance, they rely on over 30-year-old research focused primarily on general purpose cement concretes. So how can we best control early-age cracking in newer concrete structures made from supplementary cementitious materials? And what testing methods, numerical models and further analyses need to be done to update industry practices?
Join us for this month's Community of Practice - Engineered Solutions to hear researchers and industry experts discuss the control of early-age cracking in concrete structures.
