Community Memory Circle with the Black Archives
About this Event
The Community Memory Circle is an ongoing series of guided gatherings where community members are invited to bring a meaningful family heirloom, keepsake, or artifact and share the story behind it. Together, we'll reflect on the memories, traditions, and personal histories these objects carry. With your permission, stories and reflections will be documented and preserved in our growing digital community archive.
Hosted in partnership with The Black Archives and Overtown, Still, each gathering creates a welcoming space to honor family histories, neighborhood memories, and cultural traditions through storytelling, listening, and connection.
Bring something meaningful to you—a favorite childhood toy, a handwritten family recipe, a treasured heirloom from your home country, a photograph, or another object with a story to tell. Whether your memory is joyful, bittersweet, or surprising, your story becomes part of a shared tapestry that connects new friends through old stories.
No storytelling experience is necessary—just bring an object, your curiosity, and an openness to listen and be heard.
