Community Learning & Engagement in Aging Research (CLEAR)

CLEAR (Community Learning & Engagement in Aging Research) is a new, trainee-led initiative hosted at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging in Marin County. This inaugural event is entirely organized by students and postdoctoral researchers, with the mission of fostering connections between our science and the community impacted from our science.

CLEAR will feature a dynamic program of trainee presentations, interactive discussions, and a keynote talk from early career scientists studying aging and age-related diseases. By empowering trainees to take the lead in both planning and participation, the event aims to cultivate leadership skills, strengthen scientific communication, and promote community engagement within the research at the Buck Institute.

As the first event of its kind at the Buck Institute, CLEAR represents a unique opportunity to engage directly with and support the next generation of scientists committed to understanding the biology of aging and improving human healthspan.
