Mark your calendars! We are excited to announce our upcoming Community KidFest, on Saturday, May 17th, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at West Elementary. This is a fun-filled family event, with several opportunities to learn about local programs and activities for children and families.Event Highlights:
• Teddy Bear Clinic: St. Luke's nurses and staff will repair torn stuffed animals and guide children through a walkable exhibit of the digestive system. Bring your torn stuffed animal!
• Vision Screening: The Lions Club will provide vision screenings to assess your child's eye health.
• Boat Safety Demonstration: The Elmore County Sheriff's Department will showcase a boat and discuss essential boating safety practices.
• IROAM Trailer: Explore the IROAM trailer with interactive exhibits and activities.
• Fitness Activities: Aura Fitness and "Those Zumba Girls" will lead fun fitness sessions for kids.
• Public Safety Engagement: Meet with members of the Mountain Home Police Department (MHPD) and the Mountain Home Fire Department (MHFD) to learn about their roles in the community.
• Freedom for Fighters: Discover programs supporting local youth and their families.
• Mobile Health Services: The Desert Sage Mobile Unit will be on-site.
• Youth Empowerment: YouthRising will provide information on programs aimed at empowering young people.
• Kindergarten Readiness: IDAEYC will provide information for getting children ready for Kindergarten.
• Mountain Home Parks and Recreation, Girl Scouts, Elmore County Sportsmen, Central District Health, Elmore County Domestic Violence, American Red Cross, Watering Hole Community Center, Savory Lane, Main Street Tacos, and Booozey Lemonade food trucks will also be here!
