Community Immersive Storytelling - Open to Everyone

This Fringe we are putting on a community-focussed and entirely volunteer-run immersive theatre performance. It will be outdoors and mobile, taking place along the seafront.

If you’ve ever wanted to be involved in a performance but lacked the time or know-how, or want to do something creative but different, this opportunity could be for you.

There will be just one audience member, while the potential amount of volunteer performers who can get involved is limitless. The audience member will be thrown into an interactive world entirely created for them.

What world will they be thrown into? The content of the performance is yet to be decided, but we want to hear from you. We will be holding a community storytelling event to share stories and find the thread of what we want to perform. We could create a simple linear narrative or something more surreal. Something profound or something funny. Maybe a good place to start is to think of a concept you would like more people to know about or experience. 

We are having an initial welcome and brain-storming meeting on Sunday 8th February at 11am at Alcampo Lounge on London Road. 

Everyone is welcome - any age, ability, or experience. There is no obligation and people can be involved in whatever aspect, as much or as little as they like. Not interested in being part of the performance but have ideas for what it should be like? Please come along!

The performances will be half an hour long and take place on the afternoons of 16th, 23rd, 30th and 31st May, but attendance at all is definitely not mandatory - in fact, it’s expected there will be a different group of volunteers at each one, making each experience completely unique.
