Climate Ready Newcastle invites you to join this free, family friendly tour of community gardens to get to know who's growing what in the gardens nestled in Newcastle's suburbs, and to connect with your green thumb...
The tour will commencing in Wickham at Smokva Garden, stopping via Islington, Mayfield, Tighes Hill and finally Carrington Community Gardens between 10am-3pm, Sunday August 24th, concluding with networking drinks and dinner at the Croatian Wickham Sports Club from 3-6pm.
Things to note:
🥬Free, family-friendly
🥬Join for part or all of the tour
🥬20 bicycles will be provided for use on the tour by 'Bikes Lovers Corral' (aka Newy Bike Library) - BYO helmet.
🥬BYO hat, sunscreen and water bottle
🥬Light refreshments throughout the tour and dinner at the Croatian Club provided
