Join Community Food Strategies, WNC Food Systems Coalition and EmPOWERing Mountain Food Systems at the Southwestern Community College in Sylva NC for a two day, place based gathering on how to get more local food into your community while decreasing hunger by learning about:
- successful public organizing strategies
- regional infrastructure innovations
- creative educational programming
- grant funded feeding opportunities
- best practices for grant writing
- how to start a food council or farmers market
- and more!
This in-person event will allow us to connect and share tangible strategies for improving local food access in WNC. So let's break bread, gather, and learn from each other about the best strategies to create a healthier and more sustainable food system for WNC.
We have budget to support mileage reminbursmenet and hotel cost-share for anyone who needs it! Just make note of that need when you register.
