Join the Central Cariboo Community Food Hub for a screening of Tea Creek, a 74-minute documentary that follows Indigenous Food Sovereignty activist Jacob Beaton as he transforms his family farm into Tea Creek, a training center dedicated to reviving the abundance that once defined Turtle Island. This powerful film explores the rich history of Indigenous agriculture, the ongoing impacts of colonization, and intimately portrays a passionate leader who’s vision for change is creating space for healing and abundance.Directed by Ryan Dickie, Tea Creek offers an intimate and inspiring portrait of leadership, community, and the possibilities of land-based education.
