Community Film Screening for Sudan
About this Event
Khartoum, a film following five lives, one city, and the fate of a nation will be premiering in Calgary for the first time at 1919 Studios on Saturday, July 18th.
100% of ticket proceeds from this film screening will be distributed to support Run 4 Sudan emergency relief efforts being organized here in Calgary. We will be hosting one the films directors Timeea Ahmed for a question and answer period discussing the films themes and modern approach to documentary storytelling in Sub Saharan Africa. Small concessions will be available on site at the Studio for purchase.
Run 4 Sudan is organizing Calgary's first ever Run for Sudan! In partnership with Sadagaat-Canada and IDRF on Sunday, July 26th to support emergency appeal efforts in Sudan. This film screening for Sudan is a collaborative effort to bring the long awaited debut of this film to Calgary and to continue to build awareness about the political and humanitarian situation Sudan is facing.
