We invite members of the public to join us for a tour of our two excavation sites.
About this Event

Come and visit our community excavation of St. Annes Park, Raheny - where you will get an overview of the history of the mansion and associated families, a look at the site of the former mansion excavation followed by a trip to our 2026 excavation site – The Summer House.

At the Summer House you will see our 2026 community excavation taking place with our volunteer excavators and we will show you our Finds table of items uncovered from our archaeological dig.

It’s an exciting way to see how an excavation works and a great way for us to discover more information about a little-known structure in the park – The Summer House.

Meeting Point- The meeting point for the tour is at the mound – the original mansion site – at the end of the main avenue.

Directions - From the Red stables car park - pass the Red Stables on your right and continue on the main path (towards the clock tower) until you come to the main avenue (a large wide tarmac wide thoroughfare that goes both left and right) turn right on the avenue and walk to the end – meeting point is the fenced off area at the end of the avenue.

Funding provided by Dublin City Council, Creative Ireland and The Heritage Council.
