Community Empowerment Series: Healthy Relationships & DV Awareness
About this Event
Healthy relationships are built on respect, trust, communication, and safety. Join Project Sister Family Services and Cal Poly Pomona’s Survivor Advocacy Services for an informative and supportive workshop focused on healthy relationships, domestic violence awareness, prevention, and community care.
Facilitated by Elsie Miranda of Project Sister Family Services and Rhonda Dixon of Survivor Advocacy Services, this workshop will help participants recognize the characteristics of healthy and unhealthy relationships, understand the dynamics of domestic violence and coercive control, and learn how to safely support someone who may be experiencing abuse. Participants will also connect with advocacy organizations, legal resources, and support services available on campus and throughout the community.
This workshop welcomes anyone interested in building safer relationships, supporting survivors, and strengthening collective awareness and empowerment.
