Saco Fire Department will host an information session for residents interested in joining York County’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) at the Saco Museum (371 Main Street) on Thursday, April 16 at 6:30 PM.York County’s CERT team is looking for engaged volunteers to help our community prepare for disasters, respond to incidents, and assist with recovery. CERT training for fall 2026 includes 21 hours of instruction over eight sessions, held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the York County Emergency Management Agency in Alfred. This training is free to attend and there are no prerequisites to participate.
