Bring the family and join us for a Community Drum & Dance Circle at the Houghton Lake Historical Village for the Peace, Love and Hippies Festival on Saturday, July 27th at 4 PM! Please note that there is a $5 cover charge for the festival, Kids under 12 are FREE (check out that event on FB separately-see link in discussion tab of this event).This drum circle is for all ages, all levels of experience, and we encourage everyone to participate in a safe and supportive space. No drum or experience is necessary to participate, but feel free to bring your own drum or percussion instrument if you have one. We will have drums and other percussion instruments available for use as well. Or just sit back and relax and enjoy the vibrational tune-up!
Katie will assist you in connecting to your own natural rhythms which will in turn connect you with your own inner guidance that will aid you in life navigation and overall healing (mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually). Tom will support the rhythms and spice up the groove as we use intuitive creativity to apply to drumming, shakers, dancing, and group connection.
Katie uses therapeutic sound instruments such as Tibetan singing bowls, tingshas, and Deer & Elk skin drums to amplify the healing effects, and some are also available for the group to use and experiment with. Come experience the beneficial effects of group drumming and dance, which can last for several days!
There is no charge for this drum circle, but for those that are able to donate, we do accept love donations that are used to help purchase more instruments for future drum circles.
