An opportunity for the wider community to share their views and shape the Grenfell Memory Project.
About this Event

Residents of North Kensington — including survivors, bereaved families, friends, and neighbours of those who lost their lives in the Grenfell Tower fire — are invited to drop in at the Pig and Whistle.

Come and hear about London Fire Brigade’s proposals for the Grenfell Memory Project, share your thoughts, and help shape how we honour the lives lost and create a meaningful, lasting legacy for the community.

Your voices and hopes for the future . All are welcome.

Five key proposals for formal consultation

The five key proposals being put forward to the community for formal consultation are:

  • Five-year grants programme: personal memory grants for close family of the deceased, grants for young people affected by Grenfell, and community resilience grants.
  • Five-year youth development programme: residential and day activities for North Kensington / Grenfell-affected young people.
  • Fire safety careers outreach programme: awareness, training and qualification support over 5 years.
  • Preventing future tragedies: Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and education programme for cultural change in the built environment
  • Feasibility study: potential Community Hub with a youth focus in the Grenfell catchment area
