Lincoln Connected Communities CIC is organising a community day trip from Lincoln to York, bringing people from all backgrounds together to explore, connect, make new friends, and enjoy a vibrant day out!
If you are open-minded, friendly, and interested in diversity, cultural exchange, and connecting with others, you are very welcome to join us.
Explore the City Your Way!
This trip gives you full freedom to explore York at your own pace, wander on your own, or group up with fellow attendees to discover these iconic sights together:
The Shambles & Shambles Market: Stroll down the famous medieval cobblestone streets and browse local craft stalls.
York Minster: Admire one of Europe’s largest and most magnificent Gothic cathedrals.
Clifford’s Tower: Climb up for panoramic views across the historic skyline.
York City Walls: Enjoy a scenic, free walk along the ancient city defensive walls.
River Ouse: Take a relaxing stroll along the riverbanks.
York Cat Trail: A fun, unique way to spot hidden cat sculptures across the city!
Trip Logistics & Times
Pick-up Point: Lincoln Train Station
Departure Time: 9:30 AM (Please arrive 15 minutes early at 9:15 AM for check-in)
Arrival in York: ~11:00 AM
Return Departure from York: 4:00 PM
Return Arrival in Lincoln: ~6:00 PM at Lincoln Train Station
Ticket Information
TICKET: £50 PER PERSON
Includes: Return coach travel from Lincoln to York and back.
Note: Food, drinks, shopping, attraction entry fees (e.g., York Minster, Clifford's Tower), and personal expenses are not included.
Important Precautions & Terms
Child Supervision: Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
Punctuality: The coach must stick to strict driver-hours regulations. We cannot hold the coach for late arrivals at Lincoln or on the return departure from York.
On-board Policy: No alcohol, no smoking/vaping, and no hot takeaway food are permitted on the coach. Seatbelts must be worn while seated.
Personal Property: Attendees are responsible for their own personal belongings, luggage, and safety throughout the day.
Limited places available; advance booking required!
Important Booking & Refund Note:
The last date to book your ticket is 10th October 2026. Full refunds are available until 15th October 2026. After 15th October, tickets are non-refundable as we must pay in advance to secure the coach. If you cannot attend after this date, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else; just let us know
