Join us on the third Tuesday of each month for Community Craft - a free, drop-in night to explore creative forms like writing, sewing, and dance. All levels and ages welcome. Find new inspiration for your creative writing at this practical ekphrastic writing workshop. Learn about ekphrastic writing and its history, then put this into action and draw inspiration from the Infinite Possibilities exhibition at Te Atamira. Tutor Bethany Rogers will guide you with writing prompts and there will be an opportunity to share your work with the group (if you wish) for feedback.
About the facilitator: Bethany G. Rogers is an award-winning writer, poet, author and creative collaborator. Based in Tāhuna Queenstown, her writing has been published internationally. She was a founding trustee of the Queenstown Writers Festival, co-organised the Queenstown Creative Writing Group for many years and is a proud member of the New Zealand Society of Authors.

Whether you're trying something new or continuing a creative practice, this is a relaxed, welcoming space to connect and make alongside others. Open to all levels and ages.
