A Message of Gratitude and an Invitation to Get Involved
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the LWV-SAW members, volunteers, grassroots organizations, and individuals who have worked so hard to strengthen our democracy through nonpartisan civic engagement and education.
Thank you to everyone who knocked on doors, shared trusted information, wrote postcards, participated in phone banks, and created opportunities for civic engagement in our communities. We are especially grateful to those who welcomed us into colleges and high schools to register voters and pre-register 16- and 17-year-old future voters.
Your dedication, leadership, and willingness to show up continue to make a meaningful difference.
As we look ahead, we invite community members, partner organizations, and civic-minded individuals to join us for the LWV-SAW November Meeting/ COMMUNITYCONVERSATION:
Tuesday, November 17
5:00–7:00 p.m.
Panera Bread
1101 Red Top Orchard Road
Waynesboro, VA 22980
Our guest speaker will be Maisie Osteen, an attorney with the Richmond Legal Aid Society, who will lead an educational conversation about restoration of rights, fees, and the challenges facing incarcerated and re-entry communities.
This gathering is an opportunity to learn, connect, and explore ways to support meaningful community outreach and civic education. We welcome new volunteers, community partners, and anyone interested in helping build a more informed and engaged community.
