Community Connection Potluck

The Community Connection Potluck is a free and open monthly gathering for neighbors to share a meal, get to know one another, and strengthen the relationships that help our communities thrive.
Each potluck begins with food and conversation, then opens into discussion about the opportunities, challenges, and needs we see in our neighborhood. Together, we explore practical ways to support one another, share resources and skills, and imagine new possibilities for collective action, including how initiatives already underway in different corners of St. Louis might connect and reinforce each other.
Topics often emerge from the interests and concerns of those in the room. Conversations might touch on food sovereignty, mutual aid, education, creative projects, housing, environmental issues, neighborhood events, or other dimensions of local well-being. The emphasis is less on formal planning and more on creating space for meaningful connection, collaboration, and shared learning. Our neighborhoods already hold a wealth of knowledge, skills, and experience, and much of this involves surfacing and weaving together what already exists.
The Community Connection Potluck is one small part of a larger web of community-building across Dutchtown and beyond. By meeting regularly, we aim to build the trust and solidarity that help people navigate challenges and move toward more sustainable and nourishing ways of living together. This is patient work, growing through relationships rather than solutions imposed from above. Genuine resilience is built that way. Everyone has something to contribute; bring a dish if you can, but most importantly, bring yourself.
