Community Colorectal Wellness Event

Colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable cancers when detected early yet too many people in our communities delay screening or lack access to trusted information. The Community Colorectal Wellness Event is designed to change that.
Taking place on March 14th in Newark, New Jersey, this event brings together medical professionals, community partners, and SHIELD to focus on prevention, early detection, and education around colorectal health. Our goal is simple and urgent: to empower our community with knowledge, replace fear with facts, and encourage life-saving action.
Attendees will hear directly from healthcare professionals, learn about screening and prevention options, ask questions in a supportive environment, and connect with local health resources. This event is open to individuals, families, and caregivers because health awareness starts with community.
