Help keep Newmarket clean and green during the 48th annual Community Cleanup presented by TD launching on Saturday, May 2, 2026! Participants can pick up their cleanup kits from the Town of Newmarket booth at the Newmarket Farmers’ Market at Riverwalk Commons and help clean a public park, greenspace or trail of their choice.
Visit the booth between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on May 2 to collect a free cleanup kit (while supplies last; one cleanup kit per person).
Just in time for some spring planting, we’ll also be handing out tree seedlings for participants to plant at home courtesy of the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (limited quantity available).
Everyone is encouraged to clean up a park in your neighbourhood, but feel free to visit other parks in Town that could use an extra hand. Some of the target areas include Fairy Lake Park, George Richardson Park, Proctor Park, and Environmental Park.

After May 2, cleanup kits will be available for pick up at the Customer Service kiosks at Magna Centre, Ray Twinney Recreation Complex and the Municipal Offices (while quantities last) to continue the effort after the event.
Plus, high school students can earn up to 3 volunteer hours for participating!
