Summer in the City brings classic summer fun to the entire community! This series is made up of four different events hosted on Jones Center’s campus from June through September.
Sleep out under the stars with your family at Jones Center's third annual Community Campout. This event is perfect for those new to camping and eager to learn how to pitch a tent and survive in the wilderness. There will be educational pop-ups featuring kids' crafts and nature exploration. Jones Center staff will be there to assist you and ensure your camping experience is enjoyable.
Your camping adventure will include campfire cooking, outdoor games, live music and more. Whether you love camping or haven’t ever tried it before, this event is for you!
WHEN: Friday, Sept. 11, 6pm - Saturday, Sept. 12, 10am
WHO: All ages; 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult
WHERE: North Community Park at Jones Center
COST: $50 public/$40 member per-campsite
DEADLINE TO REGISTER: September 9
EXTRA DETAILS:
Campsites accommodate up to 6 people. You can choose a tent size while registering, while inventory is available.
Options are 2-person, 4-person or 6-person. You can also bring your own if you prefer!
Education pop-ups: wilderness survival, kid’s crafts, nature exploration and more!
Food options
- Dinner: Hotdogs & Hamburgers (condiments & toppings included), chips and sodas.
- Dessert: Make your own S’mores!
- Breakfast: Yogurt bar, fruit, muffins.
