Community Airport Day at Reno Stead Airport

Join us at the airport for a free Open House featuring historic airplanes, STEM activities, food, music, and an evening swing dance.
About this Event

Hosted by the Commemorative Air Force Museum, a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to maintaining and flying historic aircraft, this event at the Reno-Stead Airport will feature:

• an open house and historic aircraft rides
• a fly-in
• military vehicle displays
• an EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) donation-based pancake breakfast served at the terminal building from 9am-11:30am
• STEM activities offered by WAI (Women in Aviation International) and more
• Scholarship outreach by the High Sierra Squadron and more
• live music by the Carson Street Ragtime Band from 3-6pm
• food trucks
• a raffle and silent auction, with proceeds benefitting the High Sierra Squadron to maintain historic aircraft
• a swing dance lesson at 6pm and swing dance from 7-10pm with Tiffany Alm from Yaples Ballroom inside an active aircraft hangar. Wear WW2 or Vietnam War Era costume for 1 free raffle ticket.
