Are you interested in supporting youth in civic action for the environment? Community Action Projects for the Environment (CAPE) is a new program that guides youth through an eight-step process to improve their community and environment. This is not your typical service-learning project where kids dig a garden or build a bird house. We are helping them think about longer-lasting solutions by affecting policy and learning about the governance process. Join us and other informal science educators to learn about this curriculum and how you can use it with youth at your institution. We’ll engage in hands-on activities and send you home with the materials needed to begin.
