Join us for an exciting in-person event, the Communities & Parks Convening, at the Acres Homes Multi-Service Center in historic Acres Homes, Houston. This will be a unique opportunity for community members, schools, government officials and agencies, businesses, nonprofits, and others to discuss goals to improve park, nature, and outdoor equity in Houston communities. Discover the power of community engagement and the importance of parks and outdoor spaces in our daily lives.

Participate in inspiring discussions and interactive activities meant to foster better trust and communication between community members and those who make the decisions impacting outdoor equity in neighborhoods throughout Houston, and be empowered to make a positive impact in your community.

Gain insights from the Houston Parks and Recreation Department on how you can more easily utilize your local park spaces. Network and build meaningful connections with like-minded allies, enthusiasts, experts, and community leaders.

Who is invited? Community members, schools, stakeholders, government leaders, City agencies and officials, city council members, Harris County commissioners, parks departments, state legislators, and any others who have a stake in our local green spaces or who have sway over decisions impacting outdoor equity.
