Lenin's steelwork in Nowa Huta, was one of the most important factory in communist Poland. First because the huge ideological project behind, secondly because of the antycomminst activity of it's workers.
Nowa Huta -an ideal communist city build next to Kraków in the middle of cold war was an atempt to form new kind of humans not homo sapiens any longer but homo sovieticus instead.
We will meet in the middle of the central square. (plac centralny).
Visiting the ideal city its architecture and and sharing history will be finish by going inside spectacular church of Lord's Arc, which is known as the most beautiful modern church in Poland.
Religion suppose to not fit the communist topic, but that is exactly the point! Strugle for permission to build their own church in Nowa Huta is founding story of its inhabitants resistance to communism.
Tour will finish nearby Teatr Ludowy tram stop.
Nowa Huta is the best place in Poland to learn more about communist period and the nuclear threat. Finally this was Albert Einstein who said: " I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones."
