The Story Travels Faster Than the Ship: Supply chain disruption at social media speed.
About this Event

Every business in this region is downstream of something. A port, a part, a person. When that something stops, you usually find out the way everyone else does: from a feed, and the questions start before the answers exist.

That gap is uncomfortable and it's where trust is won or lost. Say nothing and it looks like you're hiding. Promise a date you can't keep and you'll pay for it long after the shipment arrives. What's left is the harder, more honest thing: telling people what you know, what you don't, and what you're doing about it on the public channels they're already watching.

In this workshop, we'll look at how disruption news spreads, how to read social signals as an early warning for your own supply chain, and what to publish when the honest answer is "we don't know yet."

Attendees will draft social copy for a scenario with no end date in sight, and workshop the harder part: the comments underneath it.

Led by Kayla Anderson, Founder & CEO of Riparian Media, with time for discussion and networking.

Attendees will leave with:

  • How to use social listening as an early signal on supplier and market disruption
  • A framework for publishing under uncertainty
  • Drafted social copy and response language they can adapt
  • A protocol for pausing and re-sequencing scheduled content during a disruption
  • Guidance on what goes public, what goes direct, and in what order
