Commonfest is a grassroots, all-ages mini-festival and civic rally designed to amplify the voice of the Yakima community through the power of loud music. This event is entirely free to the public, serving as a high-energy "get-out-the-vote" initiative specifically aimed at driving voter registration.Commonfest celebrates artistic diversity and welcomes submissions from across the spectrum. Our stage is open to Rap, Hardcore, Punk, and Metal, as well as performance art including Drag, Comedy, and Spoken Word.
While this is an all-ages community event, we are a platform that fiercely protects artistic freedom, freedom of speech, and raw expression. We believe in the power of the unfiltered voice to drive civic change.
Commonfest is where the underground meets the ballot box. If your band or act has the volume and the vision to move the needle, we want to hear from you on May 1st!
