Commercial Pesticide Recertification

Yadkin County Cooperative Extension will be hosting a Commercial Pesticide Recertification Training on Thursday, May 21st from 9am-12pm. This training covers essential regulatory updates, turf management challenges, and emerging forest health threats.

1 hour of A, B, G, H, I, K, L, M, N, O, T, D, X, K(SA), K(PU)

• 9:00 am – 10:00 am: Required Pesticide Certification & Training Standards Update-Required Training for ALL pesticide license holders

2 hours of G, H, L, N, O, D, AND X

• 10:00 am – 11:00 am: Challenges Ahead with Turf Pesticides-Dr. Travis Gannon, NCSU Department of Crop and Soil Sciences
• 11:00 am – 12:00 pm: Spotted Lanternfly Update-Dr. Kelly Oten, Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist, Forest Health

• Mandatory Credit: The first hour (9am–10am) fulfills the 1-hour required training for all North Carolina pesticide applicators. This can also be completed online at the NCDA Website. Do not forget to complete the training submision form when the class is completed.
• Flexible Attendance: If you have already completed the mandatory 1-hour training elsewhere, you are welcome to join us starting at 10:00 am for the remaining two hours of technical sessions.
• What to Bring: Please have your current pesticide license available for check-in to ensure your credits are recorded correctly.
