A celebration of Pittsburgh creators - meet the writers, artists and actors of the Steel City independent comic book scene.
It's the fourth annual COMICSBURGH DAY and it's bigger than ever - now Noon to 5 pm at TWO locations. So visit them both!
At both places, you'll be able to pick up the brand-new Comicsburgh Sampler #1 comic, featuring work from all six publishers in our group. It's the world premiere.
Phantom of the Attic Comics, 411 S. Craig St. in Oakland. All ages welcome. Free admission. We're bringing snacks!

At Phantom Oakland, meet these Comicsburgh luminaries:
- William Glover, writer and creator of Trillion from Cataclysm Comics. His comic series is about a woman who is saved from an accident and given superhuman powers, but then she owes her benefactors...you guessed it...a trillion dollars. He'll have five issues to sign for you!
- Heroineburgh, a live-action episodic television show and comic book series about a fantastic version of Pittsburgh where 30 women gain superpowers in a meteor explosion. You can meet the gorgeous superheroine Arogya the Healer and get her signed photo. Five issues of Heroineburgh Comics will also be available for the creator to sign!
- Our special guest, Shawn Atkins, is the proprietor of Coffeehouse Comix, publishing both physical books and webcomics. His newest action-packed titles include the debut issue of sci-fi fantasy saga Fury Blade and the web strip Fantastic Phantasmos about the world's greatest rock band!
At New Dimension, meet these creators from Comicsburgh:
- Marvin Wynn, writer and creator of The Edge, an action-packed superhero series about a drug which gives select individuals super powers, but slowly destroys them the more they use it. Up to 12 issues of The Edge will be available for the creator to sign!
- Grant Lankard, writer and creator of Beowulf (a fantasy featuring the modern reincarnation of the famous Germanic hero), Memoirs of the Morbid (an EC Comics-styled horror anthology series), and the exciting new series League of Cryptids (secret monsters defend the Earth against an alien invasion). Beowulf trade paperbacks, 3 issues of Morbid, 5 Cryptids issues, and the new issue of Beowulf Grendel's Curse will be available for the writer to sign!
