You’re Invited: ComForCare’s 3rd Annual Film Screening
Please join us for our Third Annual Community Film Screening — a thoughtful midday gathering focused on increasing awareness and understanding of the brain, memory and the impact of music. Each year, we feature a compelling documentary that highlights the human experience behind cognitive decline, the challenges faced by families and caregivers, and the importance of empathy and connection.
This years film is Inspired by a true story, “The Music Never Stopped”. It follows a father’s journey to reconnect with his estranged son, who is left unable to form new memories after a brain tumor. With the help of music—from Bob Dylan, the Grateful Dead, the Beatles, and Crosby, Stills & Nash—they discover that songs from the past can unlock memories, heal old wounds, and bring them together again.”
This year’s event will also feature a range of local community organizations and professionals who will be on hand to offer guidance, support, and valuable resources for individuals, families, and caregivers navigating dementia-related needs.
A short discussion will follow the screening, offering space for reflection and conversation.
