Introducing:
Kit Loyd – Shortlisted for BBC New Comedy Awards. Winner of the British Comedy Guide Talent Award 2023. 'Loyd is a superb physical comedian, easily the stand-out performer on the night, for me Loyd was head and shoulders above the other acts' (BeyondTheJoke.co.uk).
Praise for Nightwatchman (2023): **** (Scotsman). Listed for Best Edinburgh Fringe Comedy (Scotsman). Praise for Gosh (2022): 'One of the best pieces of comedy I've seen in ages' ***** (EdFringeReview.com).
Ollie West - One of the creators of Big Zeus Energy (nominated for Best Debut Show Leicester Comedy Festival 2023, sell-out Edinburgh Fringe 2023) and Nightwatchman (sell-out Edinburgh Fringe 2023), a one-man physical comedy and sketch show about a caveman. Praise for previous shows: ***** (The-Crumb.com). 'It's very funny, delightfully charming and has a real spirit of the Fringe vibe.' **** (MumbleComedy.net). 'Comedy this fresh doesn't come a long very often, and when it does, you should enjoy it' **** (Scotsman)
Ali Warwood is a Registered Mental Health Nurse and a Musical Comedian so, as you can imagine, she isn't quite normal. Ali's songs address controversial topics in a cheeky, silly way and her audience interactions are unpredictably magnificent. Ali gigs up and down the country and runs her own successful comedy club called Commoners' Comedy as well as Cambridge Fringe Festival.
Mark Ahier got into Stand Up to help with his recovery from mental health issues and as part of a 'cheap' mid-life crisis. The other part was leaving his comfortable job in IT to set up a cooking and baking programme to help people with mental health challenges.
Mark made the final of the Silver Stand Up Competition (over 55s Competition) at Leicester Comedy Festival in Feb 2024 finishing 2nd and is in other national competitions with younger comedians in order to keep taking himself out of his comfort zone.
He has a conversational style talking about how I've stumbled through life including my mental health challenges and recovery and how his kids and situations lead to embarrassment and laughs. Find him on social media at @marksmidlifecomedy
Steve Ward started performing comedy in 2011 and has since performed at, and hosted, comedy nights all around the country. Following on from a successful show at the Cambridge Fringe Festival, Steve will be sharing tales from his forty something years of blagging his way into and out of embarrassing situations. After the show you'll be surprised (and concerned) to know that he has never undergone therapy.....
