Headliner Laurie Elliot
Laurie Elliott is a stand-up comic, Juno nominee, actor, and television writer. She won the Tim Sims Encouragement Fund Award and has been a four-time winner of the Best Female Stand-Up award at The Canadian Comedy Awards.
Her stand-up credits include Montreal's Just For Laughs Festival (where the late, great Joan Rivers chose her to perform on her final Gala show), the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Comedy Factory in Rotterdam, Raw Comedy Club in Stockholm, the SheDot Comedy Festival in Toronto, and a gala run at the Cape Town International Comedy Festival in South Africa.
She has had recurring roles/appearances on MuchMusic’s Video on Trial, CBC's The Red Green Show (where she married Harold!), The Jon Dore Television Show, Match Game, and The Debaters. Laurie's voice can be heard in many animated series, including Total Drama Island, Scaredy Squirrel, and Camp Lakebottom. Laurie was also a regular on WWF star Chris Jericho's award-winning web series, But I'm Chris Jericho.
Writing credits include five seasons of the Total Drama Series, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Rocket Monkeys, Camp Lakebottom, Fugget About It, Showcase's Almost Heroes, Disney's My Babysitter's a Vampire, Hulu’s original series Mother Up starring Eva Longoria. Laurie is currently co-showrunning a series for YTV called The Three Amigonauts.
Laurie recently opened for the hilarious Arsenio Hall, and he was a delight!
Feature Act - Aaron Wry
Aaron Wry is a comedian / performer originally from Cambridge Ontario. After travelling the world extensively for 8 years as a cruise ship DJ and vagabond. He is now based out of Toronto performing regularly armed with an array of characters and voices he has yet to find a crowd that he couldn’t make their cheeks hurt.
Host - Jay Ellis
Since starting comedy in 2022, Jay Ellis has quickly climbed the ranks in Central Ontario comedy. He’s featured on shows, including with Yuk Yuk's, from the Bruce Peninsula to Dorset to Toronto and everywhere in between. His observational style has made him a favourite on local comedy shows.
Jay has a passion for using comedy for good and has produced several local comedy shows raising thousands for local charities under the banner of Do Something Comedy.
