ABOUT THE PERFORMERS!
Emily Goldstein is a Boston-based comedian, producer, and actor. She’s also a big nerd and proud fan of sci-fi and fantasy, which often finds its way into her writing. As the founder of MOOISH Productions, she creates bold, honest comedy rooted in identity, healing, and representation. Emily produces Laughing Through the Pain, a monthly dark comedy/traumedy stand-up show based on the belief that laughter is healing, and Immaculate Vibez, a bi-weekly stand-up mic with a supportive workshop element.
A practicing Muslim and proudly #MOOISH (IYKYK), Emily is passionate about reshaping how Muslims are represented in media. She brings a social justice lens to her comedy, tackling topics like depression, anxiety, and divorce with both humor and heart. Her shows spotlight female and non-binary comedians who are often othered or marginalized, while her mics welcome anyone identifying as an "othered other." By day, she works in higher education administration.
Amma Marfo is a Boston-based comedian and writer who took to the stage on a dare from her podcast co-hosts — and never looked back. Known for her “anxious Black nerd” persona, her comedy offers a sharp and unique take on pop culture, current events, and life as a thirtysomething. Strong writing and precise timing have led to performances alongside Eric Andre (Adult Swim, ABC), Jay Jurden (The Problem with Jon Stewart), Leslie Liao (Netflix), and Mia Jackson (Comedy Central). A regular across New England stages, she’s also a recurring panelist on The Great Pop Culture Debate podcast (#AmmaWasRight) and has headlined Boston’s iconic Nick’s Comedy Stop in both 2023 and 2024.
As a producer, Amma co-founded New Normal Boston, a collective uplifting underrepresented comedians through shows, mics, and workshops. She also produced Pantry Raid Comedy (2021–2024), a digital showcase for stand-up and food-fueled opinions on Comedy Hub.
