Join us for an evening of loud, sharp, and wildly honest stand-up comedy featuring two of South Africa's funniest, hosted by the irrepressible Hannah Bezuidenhout.
Chantal Harris brings an excerpt from her acclaimed solo show ADHD, the Bottle and Me — a gutsy, hilarious, and surprisingly hopeful dive into addiction, impulsivity, and a late ADHD diagnosis. She drove into rehab in 2008 with a Bloody Mary in hand. Eighteen years later, she's just started talking about it — and it keeps getting braver (and a little sad, but the useful kind).
Mbulelo Msongelwa (StandupMbu) is one of the Eastern Cape's most celebrated stand-up comedians — born in Mdantsane, forged on the 99% Xhosa Comedy stage, and handpicked as one of 13 comedians for Trevor Noah's Nationwild series at the Lyric Theatre. This one's on home turf and that always hits different.
