Comedy Night at the Valerie returns as we continue to showcase Florida's best stand-up Comedians. Produced by Richard Spires and the Valerie Theatre. Our Headliner for this show is Jow Latham. Having worked with the British Broadcasting Corporation and MTV, developing comedy scripts, sketches, and full seasons of TV shows in Europe, Joe understands audiences all over the world and finds a way of relating to them with his material stage presence you probably would expect from your typical English gent. Joe moved to the US to start a family 10 years ago (he could not find a girlfriend in the UK) leaving the London lifestyle behind. The act writes itself from there, with comparisons and observations since his move 'across the pond' offering a perspective many audiences did not know they needed. Currently making a name for himself in comedy in the US, Joe reached the final Florida’s Funniest Comedian in 2022 (top 10), and has recently shared the stage with America's Got Talent legends Greg Morton and Tom Cotter, as well as Kevin Farley (F is for Family), and Hans Kim (K*ll Tony). Joe's hilarious and unique perspective on life in the US has been a hit at clubs around the country ...(although it might just be his accent and the way he pronounces 'ALUMINIUM').
Our Feature act is Adam Snair. Adam is a stand-up comedian originally from Long Island, NY. He brings his sharp wit and big-city edge to Orlando, Florida. His comedy dives into the chaos of dating, the circus of family life, the everyday absurdities we all stumble through and the many ways the English language sets us up to fail. With a quick tongue and a knack for finding the funny in life’s fine print, Adam turns ordinary moments into laugh-out-loud stories. His blend of honesty, timing, and just the right amount of mischief keeps audiences laughing at the quirks of being human.
Opening the show is Rashad “Byg Fudge” Baker. A large man telling small stories in a world he doesn’t fit in. Hailing from Central Florida, he has a knack for finding the funny in the absurd and truly believes there is nothing laughter can’t overcome. Rashad has performed with many comedians on his comedy journey, including Rob Little, Kevin Farley, Steven Michael Quesada, Dusty Slay, and many more. His brand of clean comedy speaks of his childhood, societal observations, not understanding how to turn his comedy brain off in the real world, and how different and beautiful we all are. He shows us that while we may all be different, we can still love one another and make the world a better place through laughter.
