About Catfish:

Catfish Comedy DC is the largest and longest-running female comedy production in DC, boasting a reputation for hilarious and boundary-pushing performances. It was founded by comedian Lil' Vida in 2022 as a way to stand up to the old-school male-dominated establishment of the underground comedy world. With three weekly shows and several successful monthly showcases throughout the Washington, DC area, Catfish Comedy has become a staple of the local entertainment scene. The production house is incredibly proud of its LGBTQ+ and female comedy showcase, which consistently sells out and offers a platform for underrepresented voices in comedy. Recently, Catfish Comedy debuted at the 9:30 Club, selling out the show. It's no surprise that there is a wealth of comedic talent in DC, given its status as a political epicenter of the world, a lot comedians havining careers in DC for that reason.
