Comedy at Apex Marlborough: Steve Sweeney & Christine Hurley

On Friday, Jan. 30, Boston comedy superstar Steve Sweeney and the Queen of Boston Comedy Christine Hurley co-headline another incredible Comedy at Apex Entertainment Marlborough. Liam Hales hosts.

General admission tickets are $30 for the show, or enhance your event with VIP high-top tables ($160), each accomodating four guests. This exclusive seating comes with a dedicated server to cater to your food and beverage needs.

Show-only tickets are available for $35 (cash only) on the night of the show, if seats are available.

Showtime is 8 p.m. Doors to the private reception area open at 6, and guests are welcome to come early to order dinner or have drinks before the show. The showroom opens at 7:30.

Charlestown-born Steve Sweeney is a legendary Boston comedian known as a master of dialects and character voices. With his famous Boston accent and great insight into human nature, Sweeney is so thoroughly Bostonian that he merits his own stop on the MBTA Green Line. He has appeared in dozens of films and televisions shows including Letterman, 2019’s Sweeney Killing Sweeney (in which he spoofed his own persona), as well as Denzel Washington’s The Equalizer, Rodney Dangerfield’s Back to School, The Farelly Brothers’ There’s Something About Mary, and Me, Myself and Irene, and several others. He is a frequent guest on Boston radio and was host of the morning-drive Sweeney’s Neighborhood on WZLX (100.7 FM).

Christine Hurley loves what she does…making people laugh! Married to Jimmy Hurley and having five kids, Christine is never at a loss for comedic material. For years, she entertained family, friends and neighbors in their kitchens, at barbeques and the grocery store aisles. The only difference now is she uses a microphone and a stage and has become one of the hottest comedians in the United States. Christine’s maiden voyage into the world of stand-up comedy was an open audition in New York City. The television network Nick at Nite was looking for "AMERICA'S FUNNIEST MOM." Out of thousands of entries, Christine was selected to be a finalist on the nationally televised show. The producers of the show included Carol Leifer (Seinfeld show producer), Jeff Singer (talent scout, Montreal Comedy Festival), Jeffrey Ross (Comedy Central roast master) and actress Sandra Bernhardt. Her stories and views on motherhood and marriage are exactly what everyone is living through…people get it and love it! Christine Hurley has quickly become a favorite in the comedy world.

Liam Hales is one of the biggest up-and-coming comics in the world right now...literally. A mountain of a man, he views the world through the lens of a ferocious Teddy Bear. He brings an infectious smile and energy with him to the stage and is comfortable in all venues, from bars to 1,000-seat auditoriums. His topics are wide and varied from his Viking ancestry, his love of science, and the folly of life as a Giant.
