We are excited to announce a brand new showcase - Comedy &. Candles. Six 6 comedians using vulnerability to create healing and hilarity. These are the moments that made us. Come witness humor colliding with authenticity.
Guests will enjoy our Atmosphere x Undefeated Speaker candles, champagne, and connection. Our vision is to transform spaces and transform people with motivational storytelling.
This night features:
Host, Xavier D. Jackson - Born in Florida before hopping from Germany, to Kuwait, and landed in this Texas heat in 3rd grade! Now he’s a paramedic by day, and comedian by night; spreading laughs and bandaids wherever he goes. He chose comedy to empower people to radically express themselves and create joy in every room he enters with his thoughts
Comedian, Tanner Miller - from Kalamazoo Michigan. He lived in 15+ states doing seasonal work like raft guiding, ski resorts, & outdoor education. In December '24 down here in Texas while working at a YMCA teaching horseback riding, he was in a bad bull riding accident. He is currently living in Austin, Texas getting to do comedy and play rugby!
Comedian, Benny Benoit - from Houma, LA and started comedy in San Diego, grew up on the bayou even had a pet alligator.
About the Organizer: James Harris, Jr. is the 2023 Top 4 Finalist in World Championship of Public Speaking for Toastmasters International. He is placed top out of 100,000 speakers. He is the 2023 San Antonio Speech Teacher of the Year. He's won over 20 1st and 2nd place competitions since 2021 through Toastmasters International. He taught public speaking at the college level for 10 years. He hosted over 70 podcast episodes of Ten Years War focusing on motivational storytelling and emotional intelligence.
He is a 2x TEDx Speaker Coach, TEDx Host, TEDx Performer.
He's trained and deployed countless speakers in which his graduates have spoken at 20 live events for the San Antonio community that saw over 4000 attendees. His teaching strategy is highly interactive and he lives to see lives changed through overcoming fear, doubt, and axiety through public speaking.
