Comedian Rebecca Donohue

Rebecca Donohue is an executive producer, showrunner and development executive with a deep background in comedy. Her recent work includes running the comedy / reality shows, I Want My Stuff Back with Motoki Maxted and Fetch Me A Date with Jonathan Bennett and Dorothy Wang, both for Studio71. I Want My Stuff Back - a show where YouTuber, Motoki Maxted, helps exes get their stuff back from their former significant others - is on the ballot for a short form Emmy.

Prior to her work for Studio71, Rebecca ran the digital studio for Vin DiBona Productions. She oversaw the production and publishing of all digital content and original show formats incubated in the digital space for the company. Rebecca’s team led the expansion of the America’s Funniest Home Videos brand, making it one of the most engaging digital video properties across both Facebook and YouTube and thereby breathing new life into the legacy property. At VDBP/ Fishbowl, Rebecca also developed long form, television products around stand up comedians. Projects included: Can I Kick It with Joe DeRosa, Tone Bell and Al Jackson and Crispy Revival Supreme with Theo Von and Dan Curry.

Prior Work…

Since 2000, Rebecca has been building viral sites and internet projects with an emphasis on comedy. She was the co-founder of the popular site, GrilComic.net, which featured interviews with successful female comedians such as Amy Poehler, Margaret Cho, Sarah Silverman, Janeane Garafolo and writers like Gloria Steinem.

A seasoned stand up comedian herself, Rebecca performed in 30 out of 50 states and abroad with Navy Entertainment. In the UK, she performed twice at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and was a regular at THE STAND Comedy Club. She has appeared as a comedian on Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, Comedy Central's Premium Blend, Shorties Watchin’ Shorties, Logo's One Night Stand Up, and many talking head shows for VH1.

As a writer, Rebecca wrote for the brand integration department at Maker Studios and for Joan Rivers on E!'s Fashion Police.
